It seems to me that a supercharger driven by a 12 volt electric motor would be an perfect energy booster and much less high-priced than shaft driven superchargers or turbochargers. There need to be a massive downside but I can't fathom what it is. Automotive engineers out there... tell me exactly where I am wrong.
