Seeing the vintage washer at a car and tractor show in Greenup, Kentucky brought memories.
We had an electric--moter--powered Maytag in my property. Our washer lady used the wringer to move clothes by means of two rinse tubs and then to a basket which she carried upstairs and hung outside to dry. To see how it worked:
